What We Did — James Hardie Siding Installation & Exterior Trim Work
This project began with a complete removal of the existing siding, followed by a thorough inspection of the exterior walls before any new material was applied. Our team then installed a continuous weather-resistant barrier across the entire surface, carefully overlapping and taping every seam to eliminate any gaps where moisture could penetrate. With the barrier secured, we installed the new James Hardie fiber cement panels, paying close attention to every corner, window surround, and exterior transition to ensure a clean, precise fit throughout. New black soffit and fascia were installed along the entire roofline, replacing the old trim and giving the exterior a sharp, finished edge that ties the entire look together.

For the finished exterior, we installed James Hardie horizontal lap siding in a sage green tone, paired with matte black soffit and fascia — a striking color combination that gives this home a sharp, contemporary appearance. The fiber cement siding is resistant to impact, rot, insects, and fire, and is specifically engineered to hold up against the freeze-thaw cycles, heavy precipitation, and temperature swings common throughout Western Pennsylvania. The material holds paint exceptionally well and maintains its color and finish far longer than standard alternatives, significantly reducing long-term maintenance requirements, completing the exterior as a cohesive, long-lasting system.
