What We Did — Full Roof Replacement & Vinyl Siding Installation
This project involved a complete exterior overhaul, combining a full roof replacement with new vinyl siding installation across the entire home. For the roof, our team performed a thorough tear-off of the existing system, inspected the deck for any structural concerns, and installed new underlayment before applying the final shingle layer. For the siding, we installed horizontal lap vinyl siding in a warm cream tone, carefully working around the home’s intricate Victorian architectural details — including decorative gable trim, bracketed cornices, and dormer surrounds — ensuring a precise, clean fit at every transition point.
The Result — Architectural Shingles & Vinyl Siding That Complement a Historic Home’s Character
For the roof, we installed architectural dimensional shingles in a deep charcoal tone, providing superior wind resistance and a warranty of 30 years or more. The dark shingles create a striking contrast against the light cream siding, enhancing the home’s curb appeal significantly. The new vinyl siding requires virtually no maintenance, resists moisture and temperature swings common in Western PA, and preserves all of the home’s original character details. New white seamless gutters were installed along the roofline to complete the exterior and ensure proper water management away from the foundation.
